IMPACT Knockouts Champ Deonna Purazzo Pulls Out of “The Collective” Amid Pandemic Concerns

IMPACT Wrestling’s Deonna Purazzo is pulling out of GCW’s huge weekend series “The Collective”. Her reasoning for cancelling her appearances is due to the growing number of COVID cases in the wrestling community and the shows being so close to Bound For Glory and not having enough time to isolate just in case. Several wrestlers have announced that they have either tested positive for COVID-19 or have come in contact with someone who has tested positive. Many of these cases are as a results of working independent shows and doing meet and greets. These smaller independent shows do not have the capacity to conduct testing or provide a form of isolation so talents are at a greater risk.

She was scheduled to compete at Josh Barnetts “Bloodsport” and likely would have competed at many of the other 12 shows occurring that weekend. Many AEW and IMPACT talents were scheduled to appear on several shows that weekend, most notable AEW Champ Jon Moxley and IMPACT’s Josh Aleander, who are both scheduled for Bloodsport. Purazzo could be the first of many to cancel their appearances.

GCW’s The Collective takes place from Oct 9 – Oct 11 and airs live on FITE TV featuring 12 shows. You can purchase each show individually or buy the entire collection here: GCW’s The Collection Bundle
