James From – That 90’s Wrestling Podcast sent us the following highlights from his interview with Rob Van Dam.
RVD how the upcoming WWE Icon’s documentary came about.
“They (WWE) contacted me and asked if I’d be interested & that they wanted to make a documentary on me, and I said sure, I’d be interested. We haven’t actually shot much of it yet, But, (RVD Whispers) it comes out in May. We’re gonna be shooting alot of it real soon.”
On His Relationship with WWE:
“So I’m excited about it, I’m talking to them (WWE) about doing a book, we’re in talks, I don’t think our relationship was ever really severed ya know, because I keep in touch with Vince(Mcmahon), because he’s the only one I ever cared about, because I didn’t really wanna go back, so they (WWE) really didn’t have anything I wanted. So if there are certain guys that I’ve burnt bridges with or whatever then, ya know hey shucks.”
RVD About a Possible WWE run in the future
“I wouldn’t hold my breath (laughs),
I definitely don’t have any interest in doing like a full-time schedule, But now I don’t even know what that is. Ya know I guess the guys now don’t really have to worry about that with the pandemic. They’re just doing TV, there are no house shows. There’s no shows anywhere that aren’t on TV,
I’m here in Las Vegas, the show capital of the world, they don’t even have any shows, except the whole F’N Show, it’s kinda sad ya know,
But ya know a return, maybe? I don’t have anything planned let me put it that way, there’s nothing on the agenda, I wouldn’t rule anything out, except ya know like I said I wouldn’t go back out on the road full-time, we can go ahead and rule that out.
