Wrestle Week on AXS TV continues tonight at 8pm est with “Bad Ass Movie Night” starring the IMPACT Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers. On tonights show, they will be watching “Kickboxer” starring Jean Claude Van Damme.
Per AXS TV: “Bad A$$ Movie Night With The Good Brothers: Kickboxer, as IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers—Machine Gun Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows—host a screening of the 1989 Jean-Claude Van Damme cult classic Kickboxer at 8pE.”
Mike’s Take: Ive said it before and I’ll say it again, this should be a regular Friday Night show. Kickboxer is an absolutely perfect 1980’s Martial Arts film. It has great action, drama, and really funny moments. Its my second favorite JCVD movie behind Bloodsport and has an all time great villain in Tong Po, the evil Muay Thai fighter who paralyzes pro Kickboxer Eric Sloane, who is the older brother of Kurt, played by JCVD. Kurt vows revenge for his brother and tracks down Master Chow, to learn the ways of Muay Thai and fight Po. One of the more iconic scenes in the movie, Tong Po and Kurt fight with their fists covered in broken glass.
If you haven’t seen this movie before, you’re in for a real treat.
